Frequently Asked Questions About Solar Panel Maintenance & Repair in Las Vegas
My original solar installer is no longer around. Can you still service my system?
Yes. We work on solar systems regardless of who originally installed them. Whether your installer went out of business, no longer services the Las Vegas area, or simply isn’t responding, we can step in to provide ongoing maintenance, repair, and inspections for your existing system.
How do I know if my solar panels need repair?
Common signs include a noticeable drop in energy production, higher-than-usual power bills, error messages or blinking lights on your inverter, visible damage to panels or wiring, and unusual sounds coming from your rooftop equipment. If you notice any of these, it’s worth scheduling an inspection before the issue gets worse.
How often should solar panels be cleaned in Las Vegas?
Because Las Vegas gets very little rainfall, dust naturally accumulates and doesn’t wash away on its own. Most homeowners should have their panels cleaned 2–4 times per year, and more often if you live near unpaved roads, construction, or during dust storm season.
Will cleaning or servicing my panels void my manufacturer’s warranty?
No, not when it’s done correctly. We use warranty-safe methods and non-abrasive tools for all cleaning and maintenance work, so your manufacturer’s warranty stays intact.
What is a critter guard, and do I actually need one?
A critter guard is a mesh barrier installed around the edge of your solar array that keeps pigeons, pack rats, and other pests from nesting underneath your panels. It’s worth having if you live in the Las Vegas area, since the shaded space under panels is a common shelter spot for local wildlife — and once animals get in, they can chew through wiring and create fire hazards.
How do I know if I already have a pest problem under my panels?
Signs include scratching or cooing sounds near your roofline, visible nesting material at the edges of your panels, droppings on or below the array, and a sudden drop in energy output. If you notice any of these, we recommend an inspection as soon as possible.
How often should my solar system be inspected?
We recommend a full maintenance inspection once a year, in addition to routine cleaning. Las Vegas’s extreme heat is hard on wiring, seals, and connections, so annual checkups help catch small issues before they become costly repairs.
Do you work on residential and commercial solar systems?

We proudly serve Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas, Summerlin, Spring Valley, Boulder City, and the greater Clark County area.
